Add poster frame

Terje Bergli · October 2022

Is it possible to add a poster frame on a video stream or session after upload/creation?

Sometimes we forget to add/include this during recording and I wonder if it is possible to add this later?

Terje,

If you're referring to the thumbnail image for the video, try this -

Or do you mean adding a slide at the beginning of a video? If so, I think you want to add a clip. I do this a lot for some online asynchronous recordings. I'll record a PPT slide with the topic of the lecture and course listed on it. Make sure you record it as screen, not PPT so it can be inserted in your primary video timeline feed in the editor. You could also make a poster frame in PowerPoint and save it as a mp4, then upload and insert that in Panopto.

Thanks
