Ability to turn on or off the captions in folders or for videos

It would be much easier if creators themselves could decide if subtitles in their folder or particular videos should be played or not.

  • Why should that decision be left to the faculty member? If a student has a disability and there's an accommodation available, should they be required to request it simply be enabled?

I do think that due to the low quality of many automatic captions, it should be possible to have the automatic closed captions off by default, but on for any high quality captions.

Basically, Zoom and Panopto automatic captions shouldn't qualify as "true" closed captions.
