Regarding Hardware Partner APIKey

Hi Panopto,

We have already requested for Hardware Partner Status and we are moving forward on this. In the meantime, we need few clarifications as below,

1. How to get the API key of Hardware partners.

2. is there any expiry time available for the API key?

3. is only API key enough to access the APIs or do we need username/password also.

4.is there any sample client code available to access the APIs using Hardware partner's APIKey.

    Hi Karthick,

    1. Please continue to work with the person helping you with your Hardware Partner Status to get a key. They would be the ones to get that issued for you.
    2. The API key does not have a pre-set expiration time.
    3. There is some additional authentication, and a Panopto admin will be required to initially register a remote recorder that uses this API, but no separate user name and password is required. You should also be able to get more detailed information on what needs to be implemented to use this API as you work to become a hardware partner.
    4. I don't believe we have any publicly available sample code for this API, but we do work very closely with hardware partners to help them with their implementations.

    Your best resource for some of these questions might be the person who you are working with to get Hardware Partner status. They can also redirect any more technical questions to the correct person.
