Workflow for chopping up a long video

I understand the current workflow for chopping up a long video is to make copies of the original video and then edit each one.  For example, I have 75 minutes of lecture, and I want to make 15 5-minute videos.  I will have to make 15 copies of the original video and then edit each one.  It is really time-consuming.  Can we add a feature that allows users to trim out chunks of a video and save them as separate videos as this request has mentioned previously?  Thank you.

  • This request would be extremely useful to the faculty at my university.

  • We would love to see this feature implemented. Our previous video management solution, Ensemble Video (which Panopto acquired) had this feature and our faculty made use of it frequently.
