Drag and Drop Files in List View

Our institution would like to put in a feature request to drag and drop folders in the list view. Drag and drop is possible in the browse menu, but it would be convenient if it was available in list view as well. (In addition, we would appreciate drag and drop for moving individual videos.)

In order to move a folder using list view, we need to do the following:

 1. Navigate to the target folder

 2. Open the folder settings

 3. Select the option to change the Parent Folder

 4. Search through a long list of folders, clicking open subfolders, before finding the appropriate Parent Folder.

This method can be time consuming, especially if we want to move several folders at once into one new folder. It would be more productive if this feature could be implemented.

You can also drag and drop folders and sub-folders to "re-parent" them by pinning the Browse folder menu. Please see these steps in section 4.2 here: https://support.panopto.com/s/article/Folder-Management#hTargetInstance3

Are the folders you are looking to move all at once under a single parent folder? If so, please note that dragging a parent folder to another folder will move the entire structure (including all of the sub-folders) to that new folder.

This is great information, thank you! I appreciate the drag and drop in the Browse menu and I'd love to see it in the List view as well.
