The new "compact" menu system has created issues with faculty using Panopto.
Faculty are reporting they cannot find how to share videos, and they believe they can no longer edit videos.
The use of icons instead has made things far less intuitive - as the 'Share' icon is not an obvious design for most casual users. Hiding options under yet ANOTHER menu step is also unintuitive for this audience, and so they believe they have lost the ability to edit videos since that function lives under the three-dot menu button.
The previous design was far superior as it spelled out each task in text, displayed all functions at once, and was clear to understand.
