Currently in Panopto for Windows you have to go into the Advance Settings and enable the app to record an MP4.
What we are finding with some of our students is that when a video does not upload correctly, they are confused and it causes problems with uploading. Sometimes the upload will not work even when the student attempts to upload the video to Panopto.
If the default is set to create an MP4, the student could drag/drop the file when these incidences occur.
