bug fix (?): cuts locations shuffled during session merger

I found over multiple recording sessions that if I made cuts, and then merged two sessions, the cut locations were not accurately preserved (nor were the quiz locations) ... assuming this is not an issue somehow with my own setup (which I am reasonably certain it is not), then this is a big that needs to be fixed.
