User View: Display all content with Creator+ access to

I would like to see some sort of a way that users could narrow down the "Everything" view outside of the search box.
This could be as simple as a check box or two for "Things I own" and "Things I can edit" which would change the list to only include items that they currently own or items that they have creator access to.
I am not sure if I explained this well, but it would be a welcome feature for people that own a lot of content spanning an ever growing list of folders.
