We have a group of users that would like to collect videos from the community (users without SSO credentials), and we would like to potentially use Panopto for this need. We could have the people apply for Guest IDs, but that seems like a lot for one off uses.

The workflow would be that there is a folder out in the ether that users without credentials would be able to upload content to, the content doesn't have to be attributed to anyone specifically and I think it should work similarly to an assignment folder. I guess, at the end of the day, the assignment folder functionality could be expanded to support this. In that case, if the parent folder is set to public on the web, allow anonymous uploads in the assignment folder.

We are also looking at doing something with the Upload API, but it seems like something that should be possible out of the box.
