Panopto Online Editor Cut Limit (To avoid performance degradation)

Would it be possible to include a Edit Limit within the Online Editor to avoid performance degradation. We have a number of users who expect the system to perform the same way as a software NLE (Adobe Premiere) but have experienced performance degradation after 50+ cuts have been undertaken. I would be great if the cuts could be limited to a safe number or information could be provided in the editor.
