Panopto REST API - No available videos when searching using Panopto API

I am an Admin for the Boeing Sales & Marketing account and have been asked for assistance with Panopto REST API for two of my IT business partners. Here is the message they sent me with their question.

The Panopto REST API is available Out Of Box (OOB). Each individual user can generate their own API key by navigating to User Settings -> API Clients -> Create a new API Client. This API key can then be used to access any of the OOB REST APIs found at https://boeing.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/api/docs/index.html# .

I successfully connected using the API key I generated for my user account, but when I search for available videos using their API I am getting no results. However, I can view the same videos through the web interface with the same user account.

Can you please assist with providing assistance regarding their issues? Thank you in advance!

    Hello Michelle,

    Could your IT business partners provide me with the exact URL and the parameters that are being used with this API endpoint that is being accessed so that I can better assist them? If they are able to connect using the API key, this is likely an error in the way the specific API is being accessed.

    API client of type :  "Server Application".

    Generated  an access token successfully  using the API, /Panopto/oauth2/connect/token.

    However, when I use this access token to search for folders via search query using the API, example /Panopto/api/v1/folders/search?searchQuery=Product Training .

    The API returns an empty response. Despite this, I can search and view videos without any issues through the web application.
