Getting the Delivery ID with Session ID

Samuel ChanSamuel Chan Crackerjack

Hi,

Using the REST API, is it possible to get the relative delivery ID with a session ID?

Thank you for the help. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • Hi Samuel,

Can you give more information why do you need this? Endpoints do reference session but we actually request delivery and we return delivery information in the rest API endpoints.

    Thanks,

Ah thank you. I think that makes sense. I might have been confused between session ID and delivery ID as these two names get used interchangeably. When I read the REST API swagger docs - https://demo.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/api/docs/index.html - it often just says "id" and I am always unsure what ids it meant in the request/response.

For example, when I try to POST /api/v1/scheduledRecordings, the doc says the endpoint will respond with an JSON object with an "Id" attribute - without further info, I am unable to tell what this "Id" refer toโ€ฆ

Are there more detailed documentations for the REST API besides the Swagger docs? I am hoping to have more textual description/examples for each endpoint for reference.

  • Hi Samuel,

Unfortunately at this moment we only have Swagger but we have plans in future to build a better documentation platform.

    Thanks,
