We would like to see Whisper, the texting engine based on OpenAI, integrated in Panopto

This would be a welcome addition for my institution in New Zealand as teachers often use te reo Māori words in their lectures. Unfortunately Panopto cannot distinguish these words from English and so the translation is often unfortunate. Many teachers have turned off auto-captioning as a result, which doesn't help our institution achieve its accessibility aspirations.

Having said that, for Whisper they would need to get their OpenAI to do development work to accommodate our inbound API.
