Service update 2023-08-10 (14.1.0) feat. Content Retention Impact Modeling & Welsh Language Support
Please note: This update will be applied at the end of business hours on Aug 10th for the North America, Canada, and European clouds and the end of business hours on Aug 11th for the Asia-Pacific and Australia clouds.
- Added Impact Modeling reports to the Content Retention admin tooling to preview the impact of content retention policies for specific folders or the entire site before applying them. For more information, see How To Use Content Retention Impact Modeling.
- Added support for Welsh language features, including automatic captions powered by Automatic Speech Recognition, search, caption translation, Optical Character Recognition, and Smart Chapters. To enable Welsh support for new content, select Welsh as the Content Language in folder settings, or contact Support to set Welsh as the default language site-wide. Our support article for using multiple languages for captions can be reviewed here.
- Panopto's AI-powered caption translation requests will now be deducted from Panopto Caption Dollars at a rate of $0.013 per minute for each translation requested.
- Added additional diagnostic logs to the Zoom integration for cases where the permissions set in Zoom for the user integrating with Panopto do not include permission to view recorded content.
- Updated the edit button icon in the Viewer and Panopto Capture.
- Fixed a rare issue when using Course Copy V2 with Blackboard Ultra that could cause the Course Copy operation to treat a folder as both a source and target, resulting in duplicate reference copies of videos in the course folder.
- Fixed an issue that could cause languages in the video caption settings to be duplicated in the drop-down menu when uploading captions.
- Fixed an issue that could cause LTI 1.3 requests to fail if the request contained multiple values for certain claims, such as the audience claim, in the LTI 1.3 token.
- Fixed a rare issue with quizzes failing to load in a Blackboard Original course after the integration has been migrated to use a Blackboard Ultra Identity Provider in Panopto.
- Fixed an issue with D2L integrations that could result in a failure to properly sync a user's permission when clicking on an LTI link to the Panopto folder if the user did not already exist.
- Fixed an issue that could cause D2L users to not properly sync when D2L was set to never sync on login and only sync user permissions using the Batch Provisioning operation, due to sending the incorrect user name to D2L's API.
- Fixed an issue where certain buttons would not respect the department brand color.
- Fixed an issue where the streams modal would fail to load for videos with certain presentation documents.
- Fixed an issue with color contrast on some confirmation dialog buttons.
- Fixed an issue where the stats button would no longer appear in the Everything page or personal folder headers for non-admin users.
