Use of Legacy Login to download the videos

Hi Panopto Team,

We want to allow users to download panopto using our app. For that we are allowing mobile-client to get the accessToken(Oauth) and then use the accessToken to get the Cookies needed to download the video using the legacy authentication(/api/v1/auth/legacyLogin).

1) My question is whats the timeout of the cookies and how long those cookies are valid for when used in a mobile-app?

2) Is their any other way to download the video instead of doing the cookie authentication?

    Hi Akash,

    1. By default, the cookies will be valid until the browser session is closed. A Panopto site administrator can change this to set a specific time that cookies will be valid.
    2. At this time, cookie authentication is the only method that can be used to download Panopto videos using the DownloadUrl.
