Identifying unknown API Clients

edited July 30 in API

Hi everybody,
I have some API Clients in our UNLV Panopto environment that I can't identify. They both appear to have been set up by students.
Once is called Cameron Sickels, which was set up by username Cameron Sickels, and the other is just called Panopto, which was set up by username Chandra Whittle. We are not sure what these API Clients are or what they do. Could someone reach out to me and help me identify what those API clients are? I reached out to Panopto support, but they advised me to post that question in this forum. Thank you!

    Hi Andrew,

We don't have a way to identify specifically what an API client is being used for since they can be created for any number of integrations with our public REST API. You can reach out to the users who created them to see if they are still being used, or a Panopto admin can delete them.

Panopto Support can also limit who can create API Clients to only Panopto Administrators if you'd like. To do so, please contact Panopto Support and let them know you'd like to limit the ability to create API Clients to only administrators.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Kevin
