How to use API to play video or change the archive date

Greetings,
Our institution has implemented an auto-archive policy for videos that are three years old and haven't been played in the past year. According to this policy, we have over 1000+ videos that will be automatically archived.
We would like to exclude all our videos from this auto-archive process. Are there any API endpoint URLs available that we can use to automatically play videos within specific folders or to change the settings to prevent them from being archived?

Have you contacted the Panopto administrators at your organization? They can make alternative policies for certain folders so they might be able to work around this policy.
If they;re unwilling to do so, this sounds like a job for a TA.
