Mouse cursor looks different while using a graphpad in panopto recordings

A professor from my university has a problem with panopto recordings. While recording, he uses PowerPoint and Huion Graphpad to write answers to formulas. After recording and watching it, he noticed that the mouse cursor looked different while writing on a graphpad(it looks like a red cross; picture in attachment). This has happened two times now and randomly. As I mentioned, this change is only seen in the recordings. It should appear as a red dot. Somehow, the Huion Graphpad and Panopto are affecting each other.
What could be causing it, and how can it be avoided?
