Panopto Quiz Scores not Populating to Blackboard LMS Grade Center Columns for Individual Users

Our tech support team is receiving multiple notifications by instructors who are reporting that assessments utilizing the Panopto Quizzing Tool (LTI 1.3) in Blackboard LMS are not populating score values for individual students in the corresponding Grade Center columns.  This issue is occurring only for individual student users in courses and not consistently for all Panopto Quiz assessments.
For instance, in a specific BB course, a student user completed two video quizzes and no score appears in the corresponding Grade Center columns while values do appear for other student users.  Conversely, for other Panopto quizzes the student with the issue has scores present.

This behavior is occurring for multiple instructors and apparently was not an issue in previous weeks.

Is this occurring elsewhere in the community?

Issues like this do show up from time to time, should anyone come across this post. In most cases, this is because Panopto hasn't had the chance to sync with Blackboard just yet. There may be a delay of up to 3 hours for the viewing/quiz data to sync.

Another common situation is that the Panopto video hasn't been properly embedded into the course via the Insert tool. Verify with the instructor that the steps outlined in our Panopto Quiz for Blackboard have been properly followed.

As a general rule of thumb, it's best to verify that the students have actually completed the quiz in Panopto and ensure that at least 3 hours has passed. There may also be student-specific browser plugins that can cause Panopto to behave unexpectedly, so it's good to advise students to disable any plugins while doing coursework.

Once you've verified that none of the above is causing the issue, create a Support ticket for further investigation.
