Custom Role: Creators cannot move clips

It would be nice if the Creator role assigned to teachers and other defined users in Canvas via LTI could be configured more specifically. In our case, for example, we do not want clips to be moved from a course folder. We would like to enforce this by adjusting the permissions in the Creator role. This is currently not possible.

I think this could be a great idea, but I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly:
You would like user access granted only via LTI to have more granular permissions. This would focus more on allowing custom user roles to be synced with integrations via Custom Role Mapping (which they currently do not, but is something we are actively considering).
Or do you want the ability to add more granular permissions for anyone with access to Panopto, regardless of whether they use the LMS? This would more broadly relate to updating what can and cannot be changed in our Custom User Roles.
"Both" is an acceptable answer! We want to ensure that we're categorizing and appropriately measuring those two distinct ideas.
Hello Brianna, thank you for your reply. In our case, it is important that we maintain control over the content in the course folders. My initial thought would be to assign more customised roles via LTI. I could also imagine that these customised roles could be included in the Custom User Roles as a new category.
Perfect — that's the exact clarification I needed! I've filed this away, and I've adjusted the name of this request to specifically call out the need to limit Creators' ability to move clips. This is a new idea, so we're excited to hear more feedback.
I've also added you to our other feature request, which specifically allows custom roles to be synced with LMSs.
