Merge Remote Recorder Clients

There should be options to either automatically or manually merge Remote Recorder devices based on specific parameters. As an example, all of our classroom devices are assigned static IP addresses and have standard names associated with what team manages the device and the building/room it is in. It would be nice if the devices could be merged when a "new" device is connected that has an identical name and IP address (in our case).
When a device is reimaged there are far too many manual steps involved to assign permissions and move the schedule. If an automatic pairing can't be made, this could be a quick "replacement" function where you could move permissions and schedules associated with an "old" device to a device replacing it.
