Permanent stream URL - or single URL with scheduled streams linked to it

Sincerely begging for help here. PLEASE - Don't force us to retreat in defeat and use Zoom again!!!

We are desperate to have one single URL for our weekly recurring and scheduled meetings in Panopto. Specifically - our weekly seminars - where we push out these and having individual urls that must be meticulously updated every week - and for each seminar -…. on our webpage, emails, flyers, hallway monitors - etc^2. It is simply impossible.

In the Q&A - one of the admins suggested sending out the link to the folder. Not good enough - we are dealing with a public audience to our seminars…. and that speakers grandpops is not tech savvy and furthermore is trying to connect on their phone. No - link to folders is not a solution for public audiences.

We are seriously considering retreating to zoom - since we can have one link that works… and it is so frustrating that I can't figure out how to get this on Panopto.

And more frustrating to see discussions on the Q&A and feature request asking for this over the last years.

I can understand from a programing view - that each booked sessions generates a distinct instance / recording. Maybe the way to get this to work is you have a place where we can have a single URL - and we then manually link to the scheduled (or ad hoc) instances/streams. Then when a person uses that single URL - Panopto connects them to the next scheduled one…. or the one that is currently livecasting…. [ that should be simple enough coding math…. Single URL connects to next chronological instance/stream.

Sincerely begging for help. PLEASE - Don't force us to retreat in defeat and use Zoom again!!!
