Panopto Core
- Fixed an issue when performing multiple deployments, the Zoom/Remote Recorder setting from the IDP incorrectly overrides the deployment-specific setting. The functionality of these two settings now works independently. The IdP setting no longer affects the deployment setting.
- Fixed an issue with users encountering a “Failed to sign in” error when trying to log in to Panopto via SSO. This is specific to the new user agent header changes in Canvas.
Panopto for Mac update 2026-01-08 (version 15.0.1)
- Fixed an issue with Mac Recorder 15 code that caused recording issues in the media pipeline.
- Resolved a memory leak that affected numerous users.
- Fixed an issue where buttons, including "Create New Recording," were unresponsive on fresh installations of macOS 26 Tahoe.
- Updated the Panopto for Mac application icon to align with the new Panopto brand.
- Resolved an intermittent video capture error that occurred when simultaneously recording the main screen and a secondary display.
- Improved the responsiveness of the screen capture preview to eliminate the significant delay when switching between secondary display tabs.
- Fixed an issue where secondary monitors connected while the app was running wouldn't appear without a restart, enabling real-time detection of new displays.
- Optimized the recording initialization process to significantly reduce the delay and loading time when starting a session.
- Fixed an issue where slide images failed to appear in the viewer and timeline preview.
- Fixed an issue where the folder selection menu would become disabled and grayed out after multiple recording sessions.
- Fixed an issue where Keynote would incorrectly report a file as "damaged" after recording a session with a secondary screen.
- Temporarily disabled the Webcast feature in Panopto for Mac to ensure overall application stability.
- Resolved a video decoding error that caused the player to freeze during playback.
- Fixed a memory leak during multi-screen Webcasts that caused random video capture errors under high system load.
- Fixed an issue where the application would freeze when selecting "Create New Recording" from the Manage Recordings screen.
