TAs and Teacher losing access to videos in Canvas discussions / assignments

In the past two days, two TAs and one Teacher have reported not being able to view all student videos in their Canvas discussions or assignments - some videos work and some display the "request access" message. They were all working until this week… The fix in each case was the user clicking the Panopto Video navigation link in the Canvas course. This re-asserted permissions and users report all is working after that click. Is anyone else seeing this? Why is it happening? Did a product update from Canvas or Panopto cause this? Another case with students not seeing videos came in this weekend. Had been working fine up to a few days ago.
