How do I use the Panopto Public API?

Hi,
I would like to use the Panopto Public API to get reports. I do not want to do this through the Panopto user interface because I do not want to wait.
What do I need to do to get authorization to pull reports through the API? I'm looking for a clear, step by step process.

All system level reports are generated nightly, even if queued via the API. The only way around this currently is the Knowledge Insights Data Connector (or directly through Knowledge Insights).
If you're looking for folder level reports, that's different, but since you mention waiting I assume you're looking at the system reports.
