Access to files on a mobile device
This used to be a feature. In the past, when a session failed to upload from an iPad or an iPhone we could access the files on the device still. Now, that is no longer an option.
We have a large cohort of faculty who record student presentations several times a semester and then share the presentations with the students for the purpose of collaborative reflection. They use an iPad. Sometimes their phones. When the upload fails for any reason, the impact on the student's ability to progress in class is significant. Yes, the faculty could record on their devices and upload later but it's time consuming and greatly reduces the benefit of having an app.
I understand that this feature was turned off to enhance security. Would Panopto consider allowing schools the option of turning it back on using their site settings?
