Panopto 17.1 - Bug Fixes - July 10th, 2026

This release will be applied after business hours on Jul 9th for AU/APAC/JP and Jul 10th for EU/CA/NA.
The following issues have been resolved:
- KeyNote and PowerPoint files larger than 1.6 GB were failing to process.
- Generated slide images were not accurately preserving the text layout of the original slides, causing some characters and text to wrap incorrectly onto the next line.
- Stop words in added files were not being ignored in search requests, affecting the accuracy of search results for Welsh-language content.
- The session count displayed on the System Status Page was incorrectly including reference copy sessions in the total, resulting in a higher-than-expected count.
- The Windows Recorder was getting stuck in a continuous login/logout loop, preventing users from successfully signing in and accessing the recorder.
- A scheduled recording could be incorrectly linked to a session from one affiliation to a remote recorder registered under a different affiliation, causing confusion and misdirected notification emails.
Additionally, we are actively working on a fix for a Canvas-related issue that is preventing grades from syncing via LTI 1.3. We will provide an update as soon as this issue is resolved.
