Feature Request: Automatically Restore Archived Videos During Canvas Course Copy

Please add an option to automatically identify and restore archived videos when a Canvas course is copied or when Import Course Content is used.

Currently, when the "Copy videos from original course upon provisioning" setting is enabled, Panopto copies videos from the source course into the newly provisioned course. However, if any of those videos are archived, they remain archived in the new course. Instructors and students must then wait for the videos to be manually restored before they are available. The restoration process can take up to several days, which can delay course preparation, disrupt instruction, and create unnecessary support requests.

We recommend extending the existing course copy workflow so that archived videos are automatically queued for restoration as part of the provisioning or course copy process. This feature should be configurable, allowing individual schools and institutions to enable or disable it based on their own archival policies and storage management needs.

The current exclusion for Zoom cloud recordings should remain unchanged.
