Personally, I'd like this be implemented as a rules based recorder template. Our rooms are typically one of a few configurations, so it would be lovely if we were able to say X, Y, and Z cameras are always a 'Room Camera', M and N are always labeled 'Document Camera', etc. These rules based labels should be able to be overridden at the room level.
From there, we should be able to set up some standard templates for all rooms based on these rules/labeled devices as well as room specific static templates.
Ideally, we'd also be able to use the recorder name to associate a device with a department/building for permissions and further source default labels.
