Elai - Create Videos from a Prompt via the Public API - September 3rd, 2026

Prompt-to-video creation is now available through the public API, using an account API token. Templates can be discovered, outline chapters and narration scripts generated from a prompt, and the resulting content assembled into a finished video, all without touching the browser UI or relying on streaming endpoints.

This unlocks headless, programmatic video creation for integration and API customers who'd rather build their own workflow than drive the UI manually. Authentication happens via account API token; from there, the full prompt-to-video flow, from template discovery through final assembly, is documented in the updated API reference.

Only the account admin can generate, regenerate, or revoke an API token, from the API Settings page. This same token authenticates all API requests, including the prompt-to-video flow above.
