Greater granularity of availability for sessions/folders based on group membership/session settings

We would like a more 'adaptive release' like set of rules on sessions and folders to do with how video's are released to students based on group membership and session settings.

e.g. at session and folder level we would like to set session availability by:

Webcast sessions

Webcasts in this folder are available to:

  • Everyone in this folder
  • Everyone in this organisation
  • Specific people or groups

Recorded sessions are available to:

  • Everyone in this folder
  • Everyone in this organisation
  • Specific people or groups

This would allow us to choose when particular groups of students gain access to 'live' lecture content specifically e.g. if the academic wants to allow a limited cohort of students to view the lecture live and the rest to only see the recording once published this can be achieved via this additional setting.

The current workaround is very time intensive for academics who have to move scheduled webcast recordings from their initially scheduled folder to a folder with specific permissions and then move it again back to the main folder after the lecture has taken place.
