Ensure the Pause Function Also Pauses the Recording Timer

When pausing a recording in Panopto Desktop, the elapsed timer continues to run even though no content is being recorded. Any content accessed or activity during the paused period is deleted when recording resumes, but the time spent paused is still included in the overall duration.

This means the displayed recording time does not accurately reflect the amount of content actually recorded. It can also be confusing for students recording assessed presentations with strict time limits.

For example, if a student records for five minutes, pauses for one minute and then resumes, the timer shows six minutes even though only five minutes of content have been recorded.

It would make much more sense for the timer to stop when the pause button is pressed and resume from where it left off when recording continues. This would ensure the displayed duration accurately reflects the actual recorded content.
