Improve Microphone Sensitivity and Input Levels
I've noticed that Panopto Desktop seems to have very poor microphone sensitivity when recording presentations.
I recently recorded an assignment presentation and noticed that, despite speaking at a normal volume, only the first green square on the microphone input level indicator was lighting up; when I played the recording back, my voice was extremely quiet, almost as though I had been whispering. I’ve had this previously and it was reflected in the feedback I received from the academics.
It seems that Panopto isn't picking up normal speaking volumes adequately. Microphone sensitivity needs to be improved so that users can record at a natural speaking volume and still produce clear, audible recordings without having to speak unnaturally loudly.
