Warn Users if the Microphone Stops Working During Recording
It would be really useful if Panopto could detect when microphone input suddenly stops or becomes disconnected during a recording and alert the user immediately. At present, someone could be several minutes into a presentation without realising that their microphone has stopped capturing audio. They might complete the entire presentation only to discover afterwards that large sections have no sound.
Ideally, Panopto would display a clear warning if microphone input drops unexpectedly or becomes too low, allowing users to pause and resolve the issue before continuing. This would be particularly valuable for students recording assessed presentations, as losing the audio from an otherwise successful recording could mean having to do the whole presentation again.
