November 5th, 2026

This update will be applied after business hours on Thursday, November 5th.

Searching has a new look! The results page now has a dedicated view, rather than borrowing the look from folder browsing. You won't see folder-related actions, such as the analytics button or, if you're searching in a folder, the subfolder menu. You'll now see how many videos match your search, and you can further filter results by Owner.

When you're not on the Everything page, you can also narrow your searches by the folder you're currently viewing, its subfolders, or the entire site.

Note! When you're searching within a folder, you won't see subfolders listed. Instead, the results page shows everything related to your search within your scope. If you don't see results from subfolders, make sure you have the "Current folder & subfolders" scope selected.

Next, the Content Retention Pending Actions page now has a Columns filter. This allows you to view data that was previously only available by downloading the full report. This information includes: Session ID, Folder ID, Folder Path, Email, Rule Violation Date, Last View Time, Creation Date, Last Available Date, Modified Date, Content Source, Views and Downloads, On Demand Hours, Archived Hours, and Confirmed By.

Use the checkboxes to hide or show specific data points, or use the Show/Hide All box. By default, all boxes will be checked.

Note! You may need to use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the table if you select many columns.

You can also sort the table by any column by clicking its header.

Finally, a new version of the Panopto mobile app will be released later this week. If you haven't updated the app in a while, you'll notice several bug fixes and improvements, but the same familiar layout. To update the app, go to your device's app store, find the app, and tap Update. For specific instructions on how to update apps, please refer to your device's documentation or help site(s).

The following bugs have been resolved:

  • Fixed an issue where captions appeared twice after exiting full-screen mode on some sites and browsers on iOS mobile browsers.
  • Fixed an issue where the embedded player could choose the wrong playback method for iPhone viewers using certain browser languages, such as Arabic, Persian, and Thai.
