Trouble getting PowerPoint into my first recording...

Brand New Here trying my first recording. PowerPoint does not show up as a secondary source - its open in slide show view but it does not display when I try to add it under Applications?? Any Ideas - I am a little lost...all instruction focus on downloading the panopto app but i don't see that option.
