Reserved characters in recording titles

Hi,

we are trying to created a panopto recording with reserved xml characters in the title (via the API). 

We are using an XML builder to encode our manifest in the encode manifest we get the following for the title: <Title>Recording test &amp; &lt; &gt; \' "</Title>

However on the panopto webportal the title drops both the greater and smaller symbol: Recording test & " '


Is this expected? Should we use a different encoder?

    Hi there,

    Thank you for raising this question.

    Panopto currently rejects these two characters in session title from a technical reason and you may not make this done regardless of XML encoding. It is either impossible to enter it from the web upload page.

    We apologize the inconvenience.

    We plan to address this limitation in an upcoming cloud update.
