Pause/resume without a hardware partner API key

I am using the API and using Panopto.Server.Services.PublicAPI.V42.Soap Namespace I can get almost everything I need, but I cannot find how to pause and resume a recording.

I can see the commands in Panopto Public API and the RemoteRecorderAPI, but that says it requires a hardware partner API key and when I try it I get a not authorised.

Is it possible to achieve pause/resume without a hardware partner API key?

    Hi Darren,

At this time it is not possible to pause a recording using our public SOAP or REST API unless you are a hardware vendor with an API key from the Panopto Partner's team.

I've gone ahead and added this to our REST API feature requests, but do not currently have an estimate of when we will add that ability.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

  • Hi, is there any update?

We are able to start and stop recordings on RemoteRecorders with with SOAP API. But pause and resume is an hard issue for us. Our data protection officer requests it!

Perhaps we could control the Epiphan recorders which we are evaluating directly but we also evaluates Windows RemoteRecorders. How is it possible to pause/resume the Windows RemoteRecorders?

In the REST API the API endpoints are available, but we are not allowed to use it…

    Best Regards
