Support Panopto embeds in Moodle assignments for students
We have the following issue: when students are using the Online Text option in a Moodle Assignment activity and want to embed a Panopto video via the atto/TinyMCE editor, the embedded video is automatically removed. This is due to iframe restrictions for students implemented by Moodle for security reasons. However, Echo360 had implemented a way in which to allow students to embed videos in submissions. Would it be possible for Panopto to support student embeds in the same way that Ech360 does?

Hi @Matt Davidson, thank you very much for your tip. I've applied your suggested changes to our Moodle (v4.5).
When I log in as a teacher and visit the 'Submissions' page of the assignment I cannot see the embedded Panopto videos from students. Likewise when I log in as a student and visit the 'Submission status' page I cannot see my embedded Panopto videos. However, when I log in as a site admin I am able to see the embedded Panopto videos on both pages mentioned above. I am also able to see the iframes content in the database. Have you run into this issue on your end?
From what I understand, Online Text submissions are not treated as trusted content and HTML is being stripped by Moodle during rendering for untrusted users.
