As I've received this feedback from a number of users, I'd like to suggest that an option for a count down timer be added to the downloadable Panopto Recorder application. The functionality exists in the beta web capture (5 seconds), and it reduces or eliminates edits to the beginning of the video to 'prep' the desktop for capture.

although it is very easy to edit those 3 seconds out, I can see how this would be even more beneficial for end users... not everyone is savvy enough to go in and edit AND this would save time post-recording.
