Behavior changes (these features have changed from 5.7)
- Embed viewer
- Changed the default for streaming delivery of podcasts to use natively generated HLS.
- Updated the embed viewer to support SCORM embedding and reporting.
- Updated the embed viewer to allow hiding its title via a query parameter on the url.
- Interactive viewer
- Updated the interactive viewer to support seeking when in fullscreen mode.

- Updated the list interface to allow moving sessions into a different folder via drag/drop.

Bug fixes and minor changes
- Fixed an issue with the stats UX for webcasts, where if the UX is filtered to "live" stats, downloading a CSV does not have the "live" filter applied.
- Fixed an issue with system stats reports where the dates in filenames could be off by a day.
- Modified usage hour tabulation to exclude unprocessable sessions when counting recorded hours.
- Fixed an issue with moving folders via drag and drop, where if a folder is inheriting permissions from both its parent folder and grandparent folder, dragging the folder to be a peer of its parent folder will fail.
- Fixed a problem with the Users page where the "Last sign-in" date was incorrectly updated when the admin accessed the user's settings page.
- Added an option to the Blackboard and Moodle integrations to create assignment folders automatically when Panopto folders are provisioned for courses.
- Fixed an issue with Blackboard student assignment submissions where an error was shown if steps weren't followed in exactly the right order.
- Fixed an issue with the Canvas integration where rolling permission synchronization did not happen when the user views a video embedded within the Canvas course via LTI Deep Linking.
- Fixed an issue with the Canvas integration where the Panopto folder name is not updated after Canvas course name is updated, even when that option is enabled in Panopto.
- Fixed a performance issue with the Canvas integration where sign-in was too slow for users enrolled courses that were copied from another course which has since been deleted.
- Added an option to group caption requests by folder when viewed within the verbit.ai captioning provider's interface.
- Fixed an issue with the Desire2Learn integration where embedded videos did not appear correctly on mobile browsers.
- Fixed an issue with SSO Consolidation involving a Canvas or Desire2Learn identity provider where Canvas or D2L enrollments were not synced if the user signed in with an alternate IDP.
- Fixed an issue with the Zoom and BlueJeans integrations where usernames in those external systems, typically email addresses, sometimes didn't align to Panopto usernames. There is now an option to align the external username to Panopto users via email address.
- Fixed an issue with manually creating "external" user groups where the user creating the group was automatically added as a member of the new group.
- Fixed an issue with the SAML integration where groups contributed by SAML were incorrectly defined with ":Viewer" appended to the group name.
- Changed the default for streaming delivery of podcasts to use natively generated HLS.
- Fix an issue where, in rare cases involving slight configuration issues, RTMP webcasts could fail to playback on iOS devices
- Changed the site setting controlling how long the server waits before convert an RTMP webcast to an on-demand session from one hour to 5 minutes.
- Fixed an issue where embedding transcripts into podcasts could fail for very long sessions.
- Fixed an issue with media uploads where some high resolution videos could show visual artifacts
- Fixed an issue with downloading Panopto for Windows, where download requests coming directly from the Panopto For Windows client would always download the x86 version. Instead the user is now shown to the Recorder Download web page to see the choice most applicable to their OS platform.
- Fixed an issue with the embedded viewer for audio-only sessions, where if given a small vertical display space, it did not display optimally.
- Fixed an issue with "Request Access" emails where the reply-to address was not the requesting user.
- Fixed an issue with media upload where the target folder could not be changed after making an initial folder selection.
- Updated folder tree navigation to improve accessibility.
- Fixed an issue with some error messages not being accessible to screen readers.
- Fixed an issue with the scheduled recordings page where the scheduled times did not display the full date and time.
- Fixed an accessibility issue with the embed viewer where icons did not have sufficient contrast from the background.
- Fixed an issue with the interactive viewer that prevented embedded YouTube videos from autoplaying in Chrome.
- Fixed an issue with the remote recorders page where the time of the next scheduled recording did not display the full date and time.

- Fixed an issue with editing captions in the editor where captions longer than 256 characters would fail to save.
