Panopto Connect
- Added Panopto Connect. With Panopto Connect, Admins can create curated external websites, called portals, for their users. Once added to your Panopto license, Admins can create fully branded community portals with content carousels and pages geared toward a specific audience. For more information on adding Panopto Connect to your Panopto license, please contact your Account Manager or learn more about Panopto Connect here.
Access AI
- Added a new setting on the Manage tab of a folder’s settings that allows Access AI to be re-encoded for specific sessions.
- Updated the session copy process to support Access AI summaries and chapters.
- Fixed an issue that could allow non-Admin users to request AI translations.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent translation providers from being displayed in session/folder settings when Access AI automated translations are enabled.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Auto Detect Language to fail to detect the predominantly spoken language in sessions with a duration under 2 minutes.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Smart Chapters to fail to create thumbnails.
- Fixed an issue that could cause AI Translations to be available in folder settings when Access AI is disabled at the site level.
- Fixed an issue that could allow Automated AI Caption translations to be requested in the same content language the folder was configured to.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent Admins from seeing the Automated AI Translations dropdown in folder settings when Access AI Automated Translations are enabled in Caption & Translation Services.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Access AI translation requests to not update the Caption & Translation Dollars field on the License Plan page.
Core Product Service Updates
- Improved the performance and reliability of Panopto’s backend LMS integrations workers, including Course Copy, Batch Provisioning, Bulk User Sync, and Gradebook Reporting.
- Fixed an issue in Sakai integrations that could result in users receiving 500 errors when attempting to sign in.
- Fixed an issue that could allow podcast download URLs to be accessible from embedded videos by searching the page source for .mp4.
- Fixed an issue that could cause search result highlighting markup to appear under session titles when videos are shared at the session level but the folder is still restricted.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent analytics from being captured properly when viewing from iOS devices.
